And I’m back with yet another Idolm@ster figure! You can definitely see where my money’s getting dumped lately! Here’s a review of the latest in Megahouse’s 1/7 Pink Diamond Luxury set, Chihaya!
I’m super excited by this set, as usual. Megahouse is doing a superb job with the Idolm@ster girls since they started these, that even their non-PDL girls are now showing signs of being much better than their older Idol figures!
Chihaya’s just as good as Miki was, though I still need Haruka to complete the set!
She has tons of nice detailing on her clothes like Miki does, too. She really stands out!
I do have some concerns of her leaning though, since her pose already has her leaning forward a little more than I’d like her to be. Her feet also took a bit of work getting into her base, so I’m unsure if pegs will break since her feet were a bit further apart than they should’ve been to stand on it.
I thought her pose was a little silly when I first ordered her, but now that she’s standing next to Miki it makes more sense. I think whenever they get the whole set finished (which I really hope they make all the girls! ), they’ll all look wonderful in the poses they all have.
The base is the exact same as the others in the set have been. I don’t mind the clear plastic with the series title on it, though. Since it isn’t something bright and crazy, your attention goes to the figure and only to the figure.
Her hair is super gorgeous! It has glitter in it just like Miki’s does. I think it’s really pretty, being all sparkly like that.
I couldn’t help but to take another picture of it from the side, either! It flows really well and gives a lot of spirit to a figure that has clothes with basic lines.
Lots of detail in her clothing, however minimal it is! I love all the gold accents and I’m glad they sculpted the necklace onto her body, instead of having it move around.
You can see more of the gold accents on her clothes from the side too – especially the little pin on her collar.
Both of her hands are sculpted really well too, and I really like the wristbands she’s wearing! Without them I’m sure her outfit would’ve looked strange since she just would’ve had bare arms.
Because of her skirt you can’t really see her butt, and I also forgot to take a panty-shot picture too, since her skirt is so close to her skin. The skirt looks good though, and I’m glad they included a couple ‘wrinkles’ as if she really had been moving around in it.
She has really cute legs and the skirt/boot combo really accentuates her thighs and knees. It looks wonderful!
Great sculpting on the back too, though I wish her boots hadn’t been sculpted together like that. You don’t notice it just from looking at her, but once you move her around it’s pretty obvious.
Her boots are really cute, and I love the little belts on them. You can definitely tell they put a lot of work into sculpting her, especially since they chose an outfit set of all the girls that are so ridiculously detailed.
And from the front! Very, very cute boots. I wish I had them!
Her pose is really cute after looking at her up close. It’s definitely different than any others I’ve seen, and it has Chihaya’s spark of personality in it too!
Different lighting to accent her adorable stomach – however little you can see. They did a great job on the sculpt!
Last picture!
Chihaya really is a great catch, and I’m glad I started collecting this set, even if it was a little bit late. Chihaya’s certainly not in my top favorite Idolm@ster characters, but I’m glad I got her. Her bright blue hair is unique in my collection, her outfit is adorable, her sculpt is solid, and she has a really cute face! She looks wonderful next to Miki as well!
Is anyone else collecting this Megahouse set? Or maybe you’re not a set completionist like I am, but you’ve gotten Chihaya because she’s a favorite Idolm@ster character? Or are you not getting Chihaya at all? Let’s hear your thoughts!

wow! that”s a great figure! didn’t see any paint bleeds and I love the glitters on her air and outfit! Nice! =3 Love the gold accents too!
Yeah, I absolutely love her! I’m just a little bummed that the glitter will come off if you’re touching the figure too much, but I already knew that from having Miki. Megahouse is really getting better lately, I think. ~
